WELCOME. MOVE FORWARD. PUSH.

While walking his first Camino, accomplished theatre director and CCoP Board Member, Dennis Garnhum came upon a church with a difficult to manoeuvre massive entrance. On the door, in seven languages, the instructions were made clear: “Welcome, Move Forward, Push.” Door instructions? Life lessons? Camino motto? Using these magic words as his inspiration, Dennis has created an original theatrical celebration to kick off the 2025 Gathering.  Music, stories, laughter, and a few surprises performed by some of Vancouver’s most beloved talents will form a lively and highly theatrical introduction to our gathering.

The Way, My Way

Participants at the 2025 Gathering can watch the latest Camino film, “The Way, My Way,” based on Bill Bennett’s best-selling memoir. Described by Camino elder Johnnie Walker as “the most authentic film ever made about the Camino,” it’s a must-see on the big screen. We’ll enjoy it together in a newly renovated theatre on campus. The film, shot in widescreen format with an exceptional soundtrack, follows an Australian man’s soul-searching journey on the 800-kilometer Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route in Spain, discovering profound changes with each step.
